“I am just like you. A 22-year old intern who graduated during one of the most challenging times of all. I still remember how stressed I was trying to find an internship for summer and having to go through all those different interviews. (…) The only company that replied was KoPlac. Right then I knew that in KoPlac, people are devoted to their job and to their potential interns. (…) KoPlac was there for me when no one else was. (…) When it comes to a co-working and friendly environment KoPlac has the best one. (…) That is to say that even though I decided to have the internship during this difficult times it appears to be the best decision I have ever made. Corona did not ruin it for me nor for any other intern that came to Brno and had an internship.”
“I’ve been doing an internship in KoPlac as a GIS-intern for 5 months. During this time I managed to meet and work with people from more than 10 countries. From a professional aspect, the most interesting for me was the opportunity to work in a team and to take part in organizing events such as Startup Weekend and Brno Climaton, as well as to be a participant. In Koplac you have the opportunity to hang out and to exchange some experience with other Erasmus students and with local people, which is really a priceless thing. Not to mention that Brno (and especially KoPlac) is a place of complete fun and entertainment.”
“In 2019 I was an IT Engineer student in France and did a six month Erasmus internship in Koplac as a Web Developer to validate my diploma in Computer science Engineering. It was an amazing internship. I worked on a Web application to create surveys for high schools and use PhP Symfony framework. It worked 3 months alone then the last three months as a team of four developers from Egypt, Turkey, and Poland. Koplac works with Erasmus students from all other worlds. It was the opportunity to work in an international context, improve my English and my skills in development especially with PHP, Git. We have worked on the Web application project from scratch, and we have learnt to be very autonomous and solve problems by ourselves. I visited Brno, which is a very beautiful and peaceful city with a lot of nature around to hike, the reservoir of Brno to swim, not expensive, and a good place to study. I am very thankful for this international experience in Czech Republic at Koplac.”
“I came to do an Erasmus + internship in KoPlac with no expectations. It was supposed to be my last international mobility before I settle down, and find a long-term job in my hometown. I ended up working for KoPlac for two and half years, first as an intern and later as an employee. While in the position, I had an opportunity to work on interesting projects supported by EU programs and the European Space Agency. I get to witness autonomous drones finding radioactive material in the middle of a top-secret military base! So cool! Or work on innovative projects to support entrepreneurs. KoPlac helped me so much to gain work experience and find out what I want to do in the future. Moreover, it helped me stay in Brno, the best city in the world!”
“Before my internship I worked with GIS for only a few hours at the university. I wanted to improve my skills with GIS and my expectations were exceeded. I had an opportunity to work on very interesting projects for a German company, for example, we created layers for ski slopes. We especially used QGIS software which is fine because many companies currently use it. We created the map for cycling route Eurovelo. I am glad for this internship, I feel like it was a great start for my future career. After my stay in Koplac, I was looking for a job in Brno and during the interviews, this internship experience was really appreciated. Koplac is an informal place where everybody helped me when I needed it. We could attend Startup week and see how we could start our own project. We enjoyed a lot of trips around the Brno, Christmas party, barbecue and of course-beer party. I started a friendship that will hopefully last my whole life. (…) After my internship I decided to stay in Brno and I don’t regret it.“
